Your rights as a witness
If you’ve been a victim of crime you have the right to receive a certain level of service from the criminal justice system.
Once the victim of a crime goes to court, they are known as a witness.
If your case goes to court, the Police will keep you updated with regards to your case. At this stage, you should be offered a referral to Victim Support Isle of Man, who can help support you through this time.

This Code sets out how witnesses should be treated and what advice, support and practical information they can expect to receive.
