Young people can be affected by crime and trauma in the same way that if affects an adult. Young people need support and guidance provided in a way that you understand. VSIOM will listen to you and help you understand what is happening or has happened to you.

We provide confidential, trauma-informed support to help you feel safe, heard and supported. Our team can:

  • Listen without judgement and offer emotional support
  • Explain your options so you can make informed choices
  • Help with practical needs, appointments and accessing services
  • Guide you through reporting and court processes, if you choose to report
  • Stay in touch with regular check-ins at your pace

Disclosure Statement

If you disclose (tell us) any information about a crime, the offender, any witness to the incident or the location of the incident, we may be legally required to report this.

Where possible, we will explain what information needs to be shared and why.
