It is important that you talk to someone about how you are feeling and get support from organisations and agencies involved in your child’s life – their school, your church, GP, your family and friends.  Victim Support Isle of Man can also provide emotional support and practical help to get you through this difficult time.

If your child must give a statement to the police about the crime, you may be allowed to stay with your child while they do so. However, this is not always the case. Your child should be allowed to have another adult they trust with them at these interviews.
