13th Annual Jamie Haslett Football Tournament raises £1937.95 for VSIOM

On Sunday 13th August 2023,

20 teams took to the pitch at Laxey AFC to participate in the Annual Jamie Haslett Football Tournament, that was kindly sponsored by Hansard.

This was such a fun family event with some very friendly but competitive matches with all teams wanting to lift the fabulous trophy!

Alongside the football there was some entertainment for the whole family including a bouncy castle, a rock search and Three Legs of Golf mini golf.  We also had the very popular bottle stall where everyone is a winner and a raffle with some fabulous p

rizes, including vouchers kindly donated by The Victory Cafe, Just Pizza & Pasta, The Forge, Mad Jacks, Brightlife, Shoprite and The Front Porch as well as a fantastic Magnum of Prosecco donated by Microgaming!!

After the qualifying, quarter and semi-finals, Crellys Dellys & Plan A (from plan.com) reached the final.  And what a fiercely fought match this was which resulted in Plan A lifting the trophy!!

The weather was kind and people were very generous in their donations and purchases of bottle stall and raffle tickets.  This resulted in us raising £1937.95!

Thank you to everyone who came along and to the Haslett Family who continue to support Victim Support Isle of Man with this football tournament celebrating Jamie’s life.

And to those who worked very hard behind the scenes including Sean Pacey and Kyle Herman – and thanks to our team of volunteers who came along to help on the day and Laxey AFC for allowing us use of the club once again!
